Forms of marginalization are broad and often interconnected. If a person is socially marginalized, they are likely to be economically and politically marginalized as well. And it is very difficult to get out of exclusion on your own. Established barriers, such as qualifications for access to employment, make it very difficult to overcome marginalization in one area and avoid it in another.

Public Service and Good Governance

The contours/outline of the public service may change over time. The public service pursues goals related to order and regulation, social and health protection, education and culture or even the economy. However varied they may be, public service actors are subject to three main principles: the continuity of public service, equality before public service and the adaptability (or mutability) of the latter.

In Burundi, the variety of ecosystems is an asset and an opportunity for efficient and effective management of agricultural biodiversity to reduce food insecurity. This is not enough to achieve social well-being; which is reflected in the Burundian human development index. The provision of local services today does not guarantee the life expectancy of Burundian communities, both urban and rural.

Waste management, access to water and social services; the management of the various rivers, especially in urban areas, remains a major challenge in terms of pollution of Lake Tanganyika and the surrounding neighborhoods and tempo zones. Which sometimes leaves us no choice from the point of view of human and environmental health.

Among the actors, in terms of management for the well-being of households, women constitute more than 70% at the national level and the majority are made up of people with no schooling. This leads to social inequalities and hinders economic growth. Policy makers incompetent in their powers have made greed the mode of political operation; which suggests that effective public services are an illusion since political decision-makers do not participate for an essential part in economic and social development and land use planning, for example through training, infrastructure and transport, and above all, reform in the agro-pastoral field: understanding the basics of sustainable agriculture and the principles of agro-industry.

Given the expected results and the shortcomings in terms of preparatory acts for young people in whom reside the future executives and political decision-makers, our organization intends to put into practice, through awareness-raising, the reform of agro-pastoral field to eraducate food insecurity; this include activities such as : identify the challenges to deal with, assess the stakeholders and their involvement, the actions to be taken by each stakeholder and then, foster adaptation.

IKP-IESFS Mission

According to the issue to address is: Why does a country which has many assets for its agricultural development experiences food insecurity? The organization's activities are to identify:

  1. The main sub-causes to solve according to the communities who stand to gain the most from developing economy and social justice such as reforming the agro-pastoral field,
  2. Map the stakeholders and their usual involvement,
  3. The actions to be taken by each stakeholder,
  4. Involve the employees concerned in the construction of the action plan.

Coalition development of accountable employees

As a vision statement, the problem to address translates into the Lack of life of integrity and its sub-cause: Lack of focused curriculum education and employees’ dissatisfaction and Inadequate stakeholder involvement as root-cause. So, to enable our communities trasformation actions need to be taken and here are some recommanded by IKP Foundation.
